STATE BUDGET CUTS AFFECT ASD COMMUNITY BY...

  • A 40% reduction in the reimbursement rates for providers who serve children and adults with disabilities
  • Eliminating autism programs along with family respite and assistance programs
  • Cutting home-based support services
  • Cutting children's residential and group homes
  • Closing 4 of 9 state-operated developmental centers

These cuts would also cost the state $2 billion in lost federal matching funds and endanger up to $3 billion in annual stimulus money over the next two years.

TAKE ACTION - CALL YOUR LEGISLATORS AT THEIR DISTRICT OFFICES AND LET THEM KNOW HOW THESE CUTS WILL AFFECT YOU!
